Mastering your Mindset

It's amazing how much of our mindset is developed as a kid, before we even know it is happening. I was teased and bullied as a kid, and I created a mindset of 'I don't care' mixed in with 'I'll show you'. This set the course of my life, where I saw awesome success; but, also found myself disconnected from those things that mattered most.  I also found myself start to implode at the sign of failure and be fearful of what others thought of me.

Good news: today is a new day. In recognizing this, I can choose my outlook moving forward. I can choose to do things for my contribution to humankind versus for my need to prove. I can choose to take a risk instead of being paralyzed by my fear of failure.  And I can choose to be contributed to, instead of shutting myself off from others in my fear that they won’t accept me.

It all really starts by shifting my mindset to one of self-love, self-acceptance and self-peace.  If I can love, accept and be at peace with myself, only then can I bring that to the world and allow my true power to shine.

What is it for you? What impact has that mindset had on your human experience? What mindset do you choose right now?
