Who says you're not good enough?

Just like Einstein to once again present the complex world in such a simple, intriguing, and "human" way. It's so true isn't it: we can go through our lives telling ourselves we are stupid, not good enough, ugly, not athletic enough, and on and on.  Over time, we start to believe these ideas as the truth, and so they become our point of view about ourselves.  The thing with a point of view is that it colours the way we live and experience the world around us, so that we further gather proof that we really are not good enough, that we really are stupid, and that we really are not pretty or athletic enough.

Einstein is pointing to the fact that while our genius might lie in an area that we have not yet explored, like a fish trying to climb a tree to fuflill a standard when swimming is its forte.  To this concept, I would like to add that even when we can climb the tree, we like to cut down that tree while we're trying to climb it with the chainsaw that is our point of view.  "I can't climb that tree", we say, and when the tree falls over, we say, "See, I told you so."

What if we were, just for today, to suspend our concerns, our doubts, and our beliefs about ourselves and step out onto the branch?  What if we were to try something outside of our usual daily tasks, even if it might not be as highly valued by society?  What if we were to try on, for just one day, someone else's point of view?

What we'd find out about ourselves or others would be bound to shock us, and maybe, just maybe, we'd discover how well we swim and climb trees too!
