Are you using your time wisely?

Is what you're doing right now worth the time you're taking to do it?

I sometimes ask that question and wonder whether what I'm doing is really making the difference . . . Whether I make a difference.

Do you ever feel that way?

This week I was given the gift of knowing that the time I've taken to develop my mental training systems was time well spent.  After winning gold this past weekend, the coach of a 13U volleyball team team I work with posted the following comment thanking me for the mental tools I taught to her athletes that made all the difference in their performance:

"Our goal for this tournament was to focus on our mental training. They have been
filling out their pre and post training logs each practice and listening to the visualizations daily!! We made it a team goal to do 100% mental training and we (and I as a coach) really saw a difference from our last tournament. My girls played so much better. . . Our last game was close and I know if it wasn't for the mental training, my girls wouldn't have performed so well under pressure. They played in the present each game!!

Thanks again for all your help and such an awesome program!"

Now, I'd say that that time was well spent!

How about you, are you using your time wisely right now?

You only have so many hours in the day to do everything you want to do.  So if what you're doing right now isn't in line with the goals you have, it's time to do something else.
