Get Real with Your Time!

I've spent the past week re-organizing my schedule to truly fit what I want/have to do and it's been truly liberating. Not only am I scheduling, but I'm scheduling realistically based on the time I think it will take to accomplish what I'm up to, and then adding a buffer to that estimated time. And, I'm actually adding some extra 'white spaces' in my schedule, where nothing is scheduled, to have time to do those little things I never schedule.

In this way, I'm actually getting things done when I say I will, I trust my schedule and I'm not as anxious about the 150h of school work (reading & writing) I have in the next month - and that's not including classes, my business, family time, my own training time and working out. What I'm seeing is that my life actually works when I map it out and follow the map as I've laid it out!

And, I've also noticed areas where I've been consistently putting things off, like planning the exact date of my wedding, and committing to consistently working out, and even planning when we want to start a family.  So I've taken steps in those areas as well.  I feel so much lighter and so excited too.

It takes some time, things come up, life happens.  And, when I map it out and do what I've mapped out, so much is possible.

It's like I always say, if you're in a race without the finish line, there's no point in starting to run: you wouldn't know where to go and wouldn't know when you've arrived.  However, by setting the finish line in scheduling what you want, you can then take steps towards accomplishing it.  And that, my friends, is the start to achieving some truly amazing accomplishments in your life.

As my call to aciton this week, I ask you to look at what you've been putting off and to actually schedule both when you will do it and also the steps that it will take to get there.  Then follow your plan.  It might require some work on the onset, but it will help make your dreams a reality.

Love,
Coach Kara
