Do you know how big you are?

Do you actually get how big you are?  It all starts in your mind . .  .

I was fortunate to take part in an eye-opening Communication Course offered by Landmark Education over the weekend where I really got the implication of playing within my comfort zone.  You see, my comfort zone is framed by the question "Do you like me?" and by the thought that "I'm not good enough".

In this frame, I was playing very small, within my comfort zone.  Everytime I stretched myself - travelling around the world, playing on the world tour, aiming for the Olympics, going for my Masters - I resisted myself as much as pushed, which made the whole thing a lot more difficult and also resulted in my underperformance relative to what's possible.

At the communication course, I saw that I enter into every conversation with this concern impacting how I express myself, so I am awkward in my communication, I can get defensive, I resist, I try to prove myself, and mostly I suppress who I am and what I'm up to.

Last weekend, my barriers to communication were removed. I am unleashed. What I saw was how BIG I really am and that my biggest achievements so far were gained at the "end of (my) comfort zone".

And as such I am so excited to declare that my business will be 5x as big by December 31, 2013. And I'm thrilled to say that I don't know how this is going to happen (this is new for me - "I don't know" has always been a scary place).

I am committed to supporting athletes and high performers like you to get real with your performance and bust through the glass ceiling you place on your capacity to perform. The result: breakthrough performance in your sport and in your life.

It all starts in your mind . . . . go push your comfort zone.
